It’s a pleasure to present the 6^th issue of the GeeksZine and hope that we’ll keep on improving and delivering the zine for many more years to come. This issue of the zine consists of Turning your old machines into development workhorse using PuppyLinux, Text processing with power tool Sed and a writeup on the current release of PyMakeMeLazyNDumb. Also there are regular News bytes and Tips n tricks sections for you. Sweet November brings another colorful issue of GeeksZine. We have put together Shell Internals, Git, a writeup on an automation tool PyMakeMeLazyNDumb along with some Cool Tricks and News Bytes this month. We have put together Shell Scripting, CDargs, Grep, an interesting comparison between Python and C along with some Cool Tricks this month. GeeksZine, an online mag for Open Source Geeks

Finally after many years of working with and learning from the softwares created by Open Source Community, now it’s my turn to contribute back to the community.

GeeksZine is a monthly online mag for Open Source Geeks/Wanna be Geeks from an Open Source Geek. I plan to publish GeeksZine weekly or twice every month in the future once the first issue is published. Here are the various sections GeeksZine will start with:

Just two words – an editorial
Banishing a ghost – transition to open source
Going with the flow – news bytes
Surprising the Master – cool tricks
Is that so – for the open source beginners
Learning the hard way – open source softwares/tools

There will be more sections added later. Expect March 2010 issue of the GeeksZine to be online around 15th of March 2010. So stay tuned for more announcements to come.
